Objective

To provide an automated collating and stacking system to feed frozen pizza bases from a freezer outfeed and present them to a pair of flow wrappers at a rate in excess of 20,000 units/hr.

Solution

As no standard solution existed, our wealth of knowledge in mechanical handling, with particular experience in the food industry, was called upon to design and build a stacking system incorporating servo drives and PLC-based controls. Along with several different types of conveyor and ancillary equipment, a complete turnkey package was provided.
